A WINNING COMBINATION FOR MARKETING A NEW HORSE-RACING PLATFORM: STABLEDUEL AND WRIGLEY MEDIA GROUP

With Triple-Crown season on our heels, two brands based in the Horse Capital of the World – StableDuel and Wrigley Media Group – form a winning combination. Offering daily contests at more than 25 racetracks in the U.S. and Europe including Keeneland, Pimlico, Santa Anita and Del Mar, StableDuel is a first-of-its-kind contest app offered in the horse racing industry. To assist the StableDuel team in increasing fanship for the sport and giving back to industry groups such as horsemen & women, Wrigley Media Group helped launch the new brand by producing video content.  

“StableDuel is a new breed of gaming that is revitalizing the Thoroughbred racing industry by bringing new fans to the game. The platform combines the familiar appeal of daily-fantasy-sports style gameplay with the challenge of traditional race handicapping,” says StableDuel Director of Marketing Briana Mott. An accomplished equestrian, Mott met Wrigley Media Group CEO & Owner Misdee Wrigley Miller when they were competing at an equestrian event. 

Through commercials seen here, the Wrigley Media team helped Mott and the StableDuel team create a plan to market the unique platform, “We are always thrilled to help promote thoroughbred racing, and StableDuel is doing a fantastic job of engaging and retaining new and seasoned fans to the sport.” says David Bertram, CRO at Wrigley Media.

 
“Wrigley Media knows how to create attention-grabbing content, which was exactly what we at StableDuel needed to launch our brand into the marketplace.” Mott goes onto say. 

StableDuel provides a competitive and team-player atmosphere where players both cheer on their opponents and try to beat them. The game requires that players select a “stable” of horses from a specified “race card” on a given day, while staying within an established salary cap for the stable. Points are awarded for each horse based on two factors: finishing position and margin of victory/defeat. The points for each horse are added up to determine the total score for each stable; the stable with the most points wins.
