Darren has the pleasure of leading the best group of artists in the country. He is a veteran of his craft with three decades of bringing stories to life, creating award winning content for local, regional, and national audiences appearing on CBS Primetime, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, Bio Channel, IFC, HGTV, PBS and more. He believes every project has a story to tell; big or small.
Darren loves a story that draws you in, makes you feel all the emotion of the subject. Each storyline can have a broad range of visual styles to help bring about those feelings. What the audience must have felt to see Dorothy step into Oz for the first time in color, only having experienced black and white. Or feeling the raw visual style O Brother brings, when Everett pursues freedom and the promise of fortune. Stories such as Amélie just delight the senses with every scene. He strives to touch audiences in the same way.
As a native Floridian, Darren started his career in Sarasota, FL—an arts town that helped influence him and his career. He was the studio supervisor at the University of Lynchburg in Virginia, where he learned to become a mentor. He's also been very fortunate to see a lot of this beautiful country, but can often be found back in Florida, connecting to his roots. He now lives with his wife and son here in Lexington, KY, where he now calls home.
